Funny Faces

I love the weekends. Eventhough we didn't do much but it is soo fulfilling staying home and spending a nice quiet time with the kids. The house is warm cause we are blasting the heater. I had to heat the room and the toilet for a good 15 minutes before i get the two boys into a bath.. i was sweating at the end of it, guess it was a bit too stuffy..

I hope this miserable rain and gloom will go away.. i am so afraid of the cold...

Joel is getting more complains at the daycare. Last week, they say he is pushing and spitting other kids.. i am very sad to hear my son is doing such things and i have tried to talk to him but at this age, it is so hard to talk sense into them.. hope he will grow out of it..

Jovan on the other hand, is getting adjusted pretty well. He likes to be around people and hates to be alone.
He is enjoying more solid food now. unlike Joel where i make more effort to prepare healthy meals, Jovan is always eating the same stuff. He still hates milk and refused any formula.. only wants to be breastfed and yes... i am still being a cow.. he loves porridge though.. maybe cause that is the only thing i feed him.. :).. loves fish, loves his baby biscuits, apples, yoghurt and of course, tasty food.. so far, the only outside food he takes are steamed dumplings.. i know i shouldn't start table food so soon and i am not a fan of my kids having so much of outside food.. so will only limit him to dumplings ONLY..:) the dumplings at Boxhill, David & Camy (the one opposite Centro) is just amazing.. me and hubs have to eat it every week.. yum yum!
I have to try to give him more varieties in this meals.. getting lazier each time..
still have yet to receive the governement's stimulus package.. sigh.. it will definitely come in handy...

Weddings & more..

We will be busy from this week onwards. Hubs went for his friend's wedding leaving me and 2 boys at home and next week will be Sharon's wedding. Tomorrow have to go buy something for the 2 boys to wear and the weather is getting colder and colder.. high of 14C only tomorrow and next week is going to be blasting heater week.. have to make sure my babies are warm..

i am so tired.. i am glad both of them are playing together but Joel is feeling very neglected these days.. hubs says i am not paying enough attention to him.. or maybe he is just growing up and don't wanna act like a baby anymore..

Work has been a killer but i am begining to enjoy some aspects of it.. guess i am never meant to be a SAHM.. i still seek satisfaction in my career.. but i still miss those 2 whenever they are not with me.. one can never have it all..

Too busy

I have been losing out on bloggin time due to work and work.. Will update more pics once i get some time off...

Baby Steps...

Not only the kids are making baby steps, I am also going to have to try to take each steps as it comes starting from tomorrow when our relatives are gone back to MY. It is going to be a change again for us to our routine lives and it has been such a wonderful time with them that it feels so heavy to let it go.

First step I am going to have to adjust is putting Jovan back in the daycare on Friday.
Then, it will be just us when we reach back home. There won't be the usual hustle and bustle and the extra pair of hands around.. Joel will be sad to have his attention spread across lesser people and Jovan will miss all the hugs and cuddles he is getting.

It will be a change but routine will be good as well.. i guess..

Sick Jovan

It is very rare to have Jovan very sick and being mommy, i hate having any of my kids sick. It just tears me apart seeing them weak and in pain.. This time round Jovan got really sick. he was sick since Tuesday with a fever that refuse to go down. It was reaching the high 39C and only went down to 38C and above even after endless rounds of panadols. I was so tempted to give him neurofen but the doc's insist that bubs his age should stick to panadol. He was also having rounds of runny poo and i had to change the bedsheets and protectors as well.. he was just sick and refused all forms of food, milk, water.. so it was extremely worrying..

we saw the doc on Wed, i was on leave. Doc took a urine sample to check for Urinary Tract Infection but thankfully it came out negative. It was funny how the sample was collected. She just stucked a plastic over his penis and the first thought that came to me was how uncomfortable that would be for him. I just wonder how they would have done it for baby girls... Hubs took him for another checkup as his fever was still high the next day. I was at work worrying about him the whole time. Doc says that he is fine and fever should subside soon.. which it did and i was just so relieved.. it doesn;t matter if i have not been sleeping for 2 nights straight as long as he is ok.. Today is Good Friday. and i believe he is better and i got my sleep back the night before. We managed to get him out for some fresh air at Docklands with the whole family for YC. Ho Yee was very happy to have a happy boy for a change. He is still whinny but i guess it is just him recovering.. MIL and all will be going back on next Tues, and i am going to miss them so much!

Just am so thankful that i have them around for the past 3 weeks and to have Ho Yee spend time with bubs. I just wish time will pass slowly but good times always seem too short. we will be back to our routine life and Jovan will be attending daycare again. Hopefully he will get adjusted and be well.. i will trade my health anytime for both of them to be healthy and happy..

*Updates*
Jovan got rash all over his face right now and his body as well. he is extremely fussy and easily irritated as well. I am suspecting he got Roseola.. I am pretty sure Joel had something similar when he was younger.. Only a real doc will know.. hopefully he gets better soon

Busy Weekend

It has been a day full of visitors this Sunday. Hubs and MIL made curry mee and had a whole load of friends and relatives over. So it was non stop curry mee from noon till night..:)

we had some relatives over for lunch and they brought prawn mee as well, and in the evening some old MIL old friends and Sandra and family pop over later in the evening as well. Joel was so happy playing with Eugene that he forgot to sleep. Both boys play so well together it is really entertaining to see them. Joel was calling for Eugene in the morning wanting to play more. He even look forward to go to the daycare to play with his friend..

It was really nice though we were in the house the whole day. We got an additionaly hour to sleep this morning cause of daylight savings. now we are 2 hours behind MY time instead of 3! and this week is going to be a short week as I am on leave on Wed and Fri is off.. yippee!

Daycare Updates

Joel fell down at the daycare and got quite an awful scratch on his cheek. The line is long enough to cover the from ear to chin.. sigh.. my heart breaks into a million pieces. Accidents happened!, unavoidable.. i didn't dare wash his hair today as i know it will sting when it touches his face but he seems fine with it, kept on pointing to his cheek and say pain.. Joel also has a girl friend at daycare, a cutie little jap girl who always ask for him. Even saves a spot for him and ask him to sit next to her.. so sweet.. maybe cause he is a softie hence they hang out with him more.. He is much better at daycare these days. More smiles when we dropped him in the morning.. Just wish he won't be so clumsy and hurt himself..

Happy Birthday to Ma Ma

We celebrated MIL's bday yesterday at the same place we went for el-el's 1st bday. Had Sharon and family together as it was also Justin's bday. So 2 birthdays on the same day

We had a normal chinese dinner, with bday noodles and hubs dramatic ice cream cake. El-el had a lot of fun and was very well behaved. Jovan slept in my arms during the first half of the dinner and woke up alert and ready for action. He slept at 11pm while Joel knocked out when we reached home.

Joel skipped daycare today cause he was too tired and i think he can use some rest and bonding time at home. I missed them both already..:)
