sigh.. what is with hubs and his cough that never gets well..
i got a scare when he says he need to x-ray the chest. then doc says he just takes longer to recover cause his immune system is not that strong. sigh..
so he will be on anti-biotics AGAIN.. i really wanna go for a 2nd opinion.. just don't wanna take any risks..

Oh poor him - hope he recovers quick! I went through the same thing too where I got better and sick again... back on antibiotics =(
Hmmm...sounds strange. It's like the 3rd attack in the past couple of weeks? A few things I can think of, he had a viral infection recently? Then it's like a post-viral/nasal cough that can sometimes go on for ages. But it's usually ongoing, doesn't come and go.
Does he have asthma?
Don't know if it's worthwhile checking if it's pertussis (whooping cough) which is a bacteria that can cause a chest infection. The cough comes in stages, usually ends in a long "whooping" sound. I know there's been an outbreak in Austin. Don't worry, your kids are immunised if they've received their jabs.

I totally agree to seek for a 2nd opinion when in doubt. Weeks back, my bro had an awful tummy ache and the 1st doc told him that it was just a case of bad wind and sent him off. The pain persisted and when checked by another doc and several tests later, it was diagnosed as gallstone. He's doing great now. With matters concerning health, one can never be too careful.
Benny is lucky to hv u overlooking his health la.

Thanks everyone.. i think he knows how serious it is this time. Doctor gave him a good scare, indicating it could be the big "C".. but thankfully it is not.. so he is taking better care now.. sigh... worrying
Like my hubs.. always sick. Sometimes they need a lil scare to make them realise how important health is...
